Seats are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. All groups may contain a maximum of 6 students. To ensure that each participating student has a chance to ask questions and participate, this size limit is strictly enforced.
Especially before exams, it is important to reserve your seat in advance and to attend all your scheduled appointments. If the groups are full, email email@example.com and request additional groups. Depending upon tutor and room availability, we may be able to create special sessions for your course.
The Learning Den will be open for the Fall 2018 semester from Monday, September 10th – Thursday, December 6th. Sessions will not meet during fall break or during Thanksgiving break.
How to Reserve a Seat
You can reserve your seat up to two weeks in advance for specific tutoring sessions. If there is still room in a group, you can also reserve a seat the same day of the session.
Online: To log in, go to the JHU portal and click on Education and then, The Learning Den.
Please email the Learning Den if you are having problems making an appointment.
How to Cancel a Reservation
If you cannot make your appointment, be sure to cancel so that your seat can be offered to another student.
To cancel an appointment, log into your JHU portal, click on Education, click on The Learning Den, and then cancel your scheduled appointment. Or, contact Hope Fisher no later than noon on the day of the session.
Students who reserve a seat and do not show, or who are more than 15 minutes late, will have a “no show” marked on their record. After two no shows, students are unable to reserve their seat in advance for the remainder of the semester, but may still drop in to groups that are not full.
